An existing triple skin asbestos cement sheeted roof had slipped due to failing rusted hook bolts. We stripped and resheeted the roof using Supa safe mesh reinforced GRP translucent sheeting fixed directed to the existing hot rolled steel purlins. Temporary internal netting and external scaffold was also provided.

Amec Industrial Division. Milford Energy Ltd, Red Dragon Power Station, Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Phase 1 of contract February 2008.

The sites project management found Waterrail Roofing Services via our web site. We were called to site to advise on a possible solution to a totally failed gutter in the turbine hall of the power station. 52 Linear Metres of boundary gutter relined with H.G Sharman Ltd Rubberised plygene gutterline system. A galvanised steel flashing break pressed to match the existing profile was fixed in the sole of the gutter to prevent ponding and puncture by the existing totally failed gutter. 4no. outlets and 2no. stop ends and 2no. weir overflows were heat welded to the liner to create a joint and detail free gutter. Because the sole of the gutter was 500mm wide and the sites high exposure location holding down straps were also fixed at 2.0m centre to prevent wind uplifting the liner. Badly rusted roof sheeting which had been located beneath steam pipes were also overlaid with a matching profile and the total roof area was brush and petrol blower cleaned to remove an accumulation of debris.

The sites project management found Waterrail Roofing Services via our web site. Having relined a failed boundary wall gutter using a Plygene gutter liner a second order was placed to supply and install an acoustic liner panel and insulation system because the existing insulation had suffered significant water damage and staining. 360 sq. metres of 100mm thick Rockwool high density RWA45 insulation slabs were secured to the existing liner panel using self adhesive insulation pins. Then fully perforated 0.7mm thick bright white coloured steel liner panels were fitted to the internal face of the existing sheeting rails all ductwork, louvers, control panels and heat sensors were then trimmed with flashings.

Waterrail Roofing Services was chosen by the term contractor to undertake the replacement of rotten timber cladding to the elevations of the metrological office at RAF Odiham Air Station. The works were carried out in a pre planned and phased way to prevent any impact on the buildings operations or personnel. Secret fix low profile Metallic Silver cladding was fixed alongside rigid insulation panels and flashings. New windows and doors were also installed and weathered. Internal safety and debris netting was deployed throughout the contract along with external roof edge protection achieved using Safehires Anchorguard Guardrails with debris netting mechanically fixed at 3.0m centres to the existing roof sheeting. New saddle washers, lap locks along with side and end lap sealer tape installed with colour headed main side lap stitcher and mega stitcher fixings .

2800 Sq. metres over sheet of an existing built up metal roof using Euroclad SF500 secret fix profile in Corus HPS200 Goosewing Grey, incorporating a 100mm thick insulation quilt with a Eurobar spacer system. 300 linear metres of gutters were jet washed and coated with Aquapol Plus solution. Flag UK Ltd Flagon SFc light grey single ply membrane was used to weather 4no. large ventilation ducts to the new roof covering. Stainless steel wire mesh was attached to the existing glazed atrium to act as fall protection both during the construction phase of the project and also for any future gutter cleaning operations. Hip, valley, ridge, side abutment and service penetration details were all carried out in accordance with Euroclads technical specification.

Redundant plant room over roofed using Quedron 0.75mm Q Deck 160/ 750 decking profile spanning 5.0metres. Varying height galvanised steel zeds where used to create a fall. The materials were craned into place and flashed and sealed to the existing cladding.

A Whitesales twin wall polycarbonate lockable Access hatch fitted to a welded aluminium kerb and backplates was cut, installed and weathered into a composite panel roof to enable safe access to service air conditioning units on the roof of the McLaren Mercedes SLR body shell and subframe assembly plant.
