Hendy body shop pulled out of this unit. During a dilapidation contract to return the unit to the landlord a demolition company removing paint spray booths set fire to paint residue in the flues. The intense heat caused by this fire quickly spread and along with smoke damage a significant area of the roof required to be replaced. The existing fire damaged roof sheeting and liner panel was stripped. A 0.7mm thick walkable liner panel was then laid followed with a 50mm thick insulation board and 500 sq. metre of single skin profiled steel roof and cladding sheets including crimped curve corner sheets was then fixed. Internally fire damaged purlins were also strengthened by fitted back to back saddle unit alongside. This then lead onto a 2800 sq metre over painting contract to give the entire property a face lift. Where the existing coating has failed we removed all loose and flaking material by mechanical wire brushing. Then cleaned thoroughly with Cleaner and Degreaser prior to patch priming with Undercoat. We then apply one coat of Johnstones Gloss topcoat was allow to dry. Then apply a second and finally third coat of Johnstones top coat was applied to the entire area.
